Ludovico Caldara

President

Ludovico is an Oracle ACE Director and database specialist with 17 years of experience on the full Oracle stack (Clusterware, DataGuard, RAC, ASM, EM). He has administered literally thousands of databases in big datacenters so he has developed a natural leaning to automatization, monitoring and high availability. He is certified on Oracle 12c (OCP,OCE) and MySQL 5 (OCP). He is an active blogger, frequent speaker and a confirmed Community contributor: board member of the Swiss Oracle User Group, president of the RAC Special Interest Group and co-founder of the Italian Oracle User Group.
Ludovico is currently working as a senior consultant for Trivadis in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Alfredo Abate

Vice President

Alfredo Abate has been an Oracle DBA since 1999 starting with version 7.3.2 and as an Oracle Applications DBA (Oracle EBS 11i/R12) since 2006.  He started using Oracle RAC with version 10gR2.  Since February 2014 he has been the President of the Chicago Oracle Users Group (COUG).  He recently organized and helped mentor a RAC Attack 12c Workshop in Chicago and hopes to help organize more.  He is very passionate about helping people learn and understand Oracle technologies.  He currently works for a manufacturing company in the suburbs of Chicago where he is responsible for and enjoys working with a full suite of Oracle technologies.  In his spare time he loves collecting vinyl records, listening to music and spending time with his family.

Markus Flechtner

International Chair

Markus is a Principal Consultant at Trivadis/Germany. Before that he has been working with Oracle software for more than 20 years in various positions (developer, DBA). At Trivadis he is specialized on Oracle Real Application Cluster and database upgrade and migration projects. He is a teacher for his company’s trainings on Oracle RAC and Oracle Database 12c New Features.

Andy Klock

Librarian Chair

Andy Klock has has been working with Oracle database technologies since 2000. He was a technical team lead at Pythian and for the last few years has been at Enkitec (now AEG) working with Oracle engineered systems and other large databases. Andy Klock uses the scientific method to address all performance issues, plus he always checks his logs.

Liron Amitzi

US Events Chair and IOUG Liaison

Liron is an Oracle ACE and a senior Oracle DBA, with over 18 years of experience. During these years Liron worked as a senior consultant with a large number of companies in various fields and managed an Oracle Professional Services Team. He is currently in Vancouver, BC, founding the Canadian branch of his Israeli Company, DBAces.
He mainly specializes in high availability solutions, performance, backup and recovery, and other infrastructure and application database areas. He is also a well-known senior instructor and lectures in Oracle courses, events and forums. Liron holds a BSc in Computer Science and is a BCOUG executive committee member.

Sean Scott

Webinar Chair

Sean has been working with Oracle technologies since 1995. He’s a database administrator and engineer concentrating in the areas of database design, performance optimization, disaster recovery, high availability and development. He’s a frequent contributor to the Oracle community including holding leadership roles at the user group level and as an author and presenter for regional user groups, IOUG/Collaborate, Oracle Open World and OAUG. His interests include developing tools, integrations and automation to improve and streamline database administration workflow.

Jacques Kostic

Jacques has been working with Oracle Database since 1990 starting from version 4 on SCO Unix. Within all company he has worked in, he has always been considered a key player in Oracle Database topics by playing various roles from solution design to complete implementation and deployment of Oracle Database products. He is always open to learn and discover new technologies.
In 2012, Jacques joined Trivadis AG as Senior Consultant, where he is currently a member of the Database Key Players Team, beta tester, trainer, mentor and consultant. In addition, he has recently been promoted to Principal Consultant.
Fond of knowledge sharing, his activities (forums, blogs, articles, presentations), in both the French and the international Oracle community, spans the last 12 years.

Osama Mustafa

Osama Mustafa (Oracle ACE Director) has progressive experience in Oracle Products, community. He recently served as Oracle Database Administrator, and certified Oracle Products Such as Database and fusion middleware.
Provide Database Implementation Solutions, High Availability Solution, and different approach for Fusion middleware Security parts such as OAM, OIM and OID for complete SSO application.
