The Oracle Database has traditionally provided the highest level of High Availability (HA) in every HA-class, regardless of whether a single instance Oracle Database or a clustered Oracle RAC database is used. In addition, local HA solutions inherent to the Oracle Database can be combined with remote or disaster recovery solutions such as Oracle Data Guard. This presentation focuses on local HA in both clustered and non-clustered environments and the various technologies that can be used with the Oracle Database in order to ensure the maximum uptime for your database environment.
